Introduction:
My youth was spent as an Army brat, traveling across the US and abroad. I received a high school diploma with a year of business college training. I then began working as a bookkeeper for companies in the plumbing industry. After a brief hiatus, and two children later, I headed back into the work force. My goal was to find a stable, solid company with a great reputation that had room for advancement. That was 14 years ago. I came to work at Anderson Air Corps as a data entry clerk in the service department and have grown with the company and used my knowledge and experience to advance to my current position.
Position / Title / Responsibilities
As Head Bookkeeper, I strive to make sure that the paperwork runs smoothly and accurately through the accounting process. Working with two assistants, I am responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, tax reporting and the other hundred or so things that cross my desk on a daily basis. I generate monthly internal financial statements for management use and coordinate with outside accountants for the yearly statements and reports. I also maintain employee and vendor files and coordinate corporate needs with our insurance agent.
As Secretary/Treasurer, I participate in general management decisions and watch over the finances of the corporation.
